They may show aggressive local growth, are prone to recurrence, and can be challenging to treat. <strong>Tumour-Specific Electroporation (TSE)<\/strong> is an innovative therapeutic approach that offers a targeted and tissue-sparing treatment option.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What is TSE?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The TSE combines <strong>targeted electrical impulses<\/strong> with locally applied <strong>Low-dose chemotherapy.<\/strong>The electrical impulses temporarily open he cell membranes of tumour cells (\u201eelectroporation\u201c), allowing the medication to enter the tumour cells directly and highly effectively. Special electrodes are then used to deliver short electrical impulses to the tissue. The procedure takes only a few minutes and is painless for the horse.
